Discover Soave and the Veneto region

Soave has an advantageous location that makes it easy to visit the main attractions and wonders of the Veneto region. The village where our facility is located is well connected by public transport and within walking distance of bars, restaurants and pizzerias. It is easy to reach thanks to the A4 motorway (Soave-San Bonifacio exit), regional road 11 and the Milan-Venice railway line.
Soave is a medieval village in the province of Verona, famous for its Scaliger Castle and the white wine that bears its name. The castle, dating back to the 10th century, dominates the plain below and offers a splendid view of the vineyards. Soave DOC wine is mainly made from Garganega grapes and has a delicate aroma and a dry, harmonious flavour.
A tour of the Soave hills is an unforgettable experience that fills the eyes and the heart. Among the rows of vines, you can discover corners of poetry and history, and savour the taste of Soave DOC wine in cosy trattoria bars.
The hills of Soave are an enchanting landscape, where the grapes for the famous white wine are cultivated. The vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see, creating a mosaic of colours and scents. Here you can breathe in the history, culture and tradition of a land rich in charm.
In the immediate vicinity of Soave is the San Pietro Abbey, in Villanova San Bonifacio, a jewel of Romanesque architecture, located in San Bonifacio in the province of Verona. Founded in 763 by S. Anselmo del Friuli, it was rebuilt in 1138 after the earthquake of 1117. It houses valuable works of art and a geopaleontological museum. Heading towards the mountains, crossing the Val d’Alpone between magnificent hills of cherry trees, you can reach the Bolca locality in the municipality of Vestenanova, famous for its countless fossil finds.
The fossil finds discovered in the Bolca deposits, among the most important in the world in terms of surface area, variety of animal species found, but above all for the perfect state of preservation of the fossilised organisms, reflect a marine-coastal environment and more precisely a lagoon-type environment.
Bolca is located at an altitude of about 800 metres above sea level and it is incredible to think that a few million years ago the Po Valley was covered by the sea that reached as far as Bolca.
